Students of the 6th batch of the campus teaching program carried out the establishment of a green school at SMPN 28 Medan. This activity starts from naming each plant and tree in Latin, preparation for planting on hydroponic racks and processing live pharmacy in the school's live pharmacy field. The purpose of this activity is to increase environmental awareness, foster an attitude of love for the environment, maintain natural resources, and support sustainable environmental education programs. STIKes Mitra Husada Medan students who passed the 6th batch of the teaching campus program met with DPL and the education office in their respective placement areas. The placement schools and students who passed the 6th generation teaching campus are: SMP HKBP Dolok Sanggul, SMPN 2 Pollung
SMPN 28 Medan. This activity will take place from July 28 - December 4, 2024. There are several details of the work program that will be designed, namely: literacy clinic, word stacking literacy,. Digital literacy, reading habits before entering class, science literacy, video learning, basic math clinics, numeracy, school mading management, reading corners in classrooms, literacy trees, library visits, library arrangement and management, making rules in the library, literacy and numeracy parks, socializing the 3 big sins of education, implementing 5S and the SDGS Program.
The socialization carried out by the 6th batch of teaching campus program team in each placement school has been carried out well. The socialization is related to the SDGs, namely in the theme of Health and Prosperous Life with the title "Prevention of Anemia in Adolescents" which is carried out in grade 7 by using leaflets as promotional media and source media for socialization materials and also in the theme of Handling emergency mitigation of earthquake and choking disasters by practicing on school students. The implementation of this socialization has been discussed in advance by the team so that it is in accordance with the interests and utilization in the lives of students. The 6th Batch Teaching Campus Team also provided an understanding of the "3 Big Sins in the Education Environment" at each grade level by focusing more on cases of bullying that are often found in the school environment. This activity was accepted and understood by the school students. The team also asked students to express their respective understanding of the definition, examples and also the impact of bullying. Some students also shared their experiences about bullying, namely when they experienced bullying in their daily lives and how they overcame the fear in themselves for the events that had been experienced. This is expected to increase empathy and awareness of other students so that they can help avoid and even prevent bullying or the three cardinal sins in the educational environment.
The Batch 5 teaching campus team taught students about technology, namely, hardware and software learning where students who do not know can understand more. Then the teaching campus team and I did the introduction or steps of ecobricking in class 8. The 5th batch of teaching campus program students built the school's UKS. The tasks are as follows: 1. Help provide school UKS infrastructure that has not yet been realized in the school, 2. Helping to organize some medical equipment in making the school UKS, 3. Helping students to make them about First Aid in accidents so that they understand the function of First Aid properly and correctly, 4. Providing first aid kits
